“Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.”
John 6:57

The life of the Father – spiritual, eternal, supernatural – is in Jesus and now lives in those of us who believe in Him. The very life of God dwells within us! His very Spirit occupies our lives and our bodies.

So wonderful! So difficult to grasp. Holy Spirit what would you say to me? What would you teach me about this saying of Jesus?

“You not only belong to the Father but He indwells you. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on the things of the flesh, and on the world. But if you live according to the Spirit your mind will be renewed and you will begin to think as God thinks. The very thoughts of God will be known to you because His Spirit lives in you.

“And as you allow the Holy Spirit to transform you by the renewing of your mind you will have the mind of Christ. Your desires will become His desires, your thoughts His thoughts.

“This is the ‘new man’ or woman. A human being indwelt by God’s very Spirit; His essence. A human being who carries the power and authority of God Himself.”

There have been so many books and screenplays written by people who imagine a human being with supernatural powers, a hero, but they don’t even come close to the truth! And while it is a concept and a desire that God has placed in the minds and hearts of people, they cannot recognize the real thing when they encounter it. Just as Jesus was not recognized, so are His “little Christs” upon the earth overlooked. Like the mild-mannered, bespectacled character Clark Kent, no one sees the supernatural strength that lies behind their meek exterior.

“Daughter, remember who you are and Whose you are. If you knew your own greatness you would not be able to contain yourself. You would not be able to function in the flesh. But give your whole self to Me, just as Jesus did, and you will see miracles happen when you pray and declare the words I give you.

“You are right daughter, that the world needs signs and wonders in order to look up and know the truth. I want to use you as a miracle worker. As a sign to the world around you – but you can do nothing apart from me. You can do nothing except what you see Me doing.

“I am as close as your breath. I will guide you. I will lead you. I will give you the words to speak.

“Trust Me daughter. Trust in Me and in Me alone. Nothing else is needed.”

Note: These words are not meant just for me but for every person who believes in and follows Jesus.
